What early readers are saying…

“How lovely to endure such a beautiful and heartfelt creation! The relationship between the chakras, and the endocrine system remains one of the most under-used pathways of healing. Chandra makes it simple and relatable through story and visuals. This is a well organized starter approach for any woman looking to improve her relationship with her hormones and her personal patterns.”

The King’s Council: Liver and Pancreas

In Ayurveda, one of the storehouses of fire is the liver, and there is a direct relationship between the liver, anger and agni. In this way, we can begin to heal anger by tending to our Liver and we can honor the liver by tending to our anger.

It may be difficult to be with uncomfortable emotions. Our culture has decided that negative emotions are bad, and if we have them then we may believe we are bad. This then creates a negative feedback loop between the uncomfortable emotion and shame, which then feeds back to the uncomfortable emotion. But when we can sit with our whole person, the happy, the sad, the angry and the jealous, and learn to pay attention, then the difficult emotion will lose its hold over us.

Try this to learn to accept your emotions:

Invite a memory that brings up a difficult emotion, whether anger, or jealousy, or frustration. Now notice your body, and specifically any tension or discomfort or even pain in the body that seems to be related to this emotion. Start by simply being with the discomfort in your body, perhaps noticing any images that come up around the sensation. Now, allow a sound to come out that relates to that sensation in your body. Allow this sound to come out 3 times – inhale and then exhale the sound. Now allow yourself to settle and notice what is happening in your body. Place your hands over your heart and simply be with your body, your heart and your emotions with a sense of loving kindness, and acceptance.

Yoga for Your Hormones was born from my own journey through hormonal imbalance, burnout, and the long process of learning how to truly listen to my body.

Through yoga, Ayurveda, psychology, and mind-body healing practices, I slowly found my way back to balance—and this book is a sharing of those tools, insights, and experiences.

Rather than offering quick fixes or rigid wellness rules, this book invites you into a gentler, more compassionate relationship with yourself. It explores the connection between stress, emotions, the nervous system, and hormonal health, while offering practical ways to support healing naturally and sustainably.

Inside, you’ll find simple and supportive practices including yoga, breathwork, meditation, somatic awareness, journaling, and Ayurvedic guidance—all designed to help you feel more grounded, connected, and at home in your body.

Each chapter focuses on a different endocrine gland or hormonal system, helping you better understand how stress and emotional patterns can affect physical health.

You’ll also discover accessible healing practices to support the thyroid, adrenals, reproductive system, liver, pituitary, and pineal glands, along with reflections and self-inquiry exercises for deeper awareness.

This book is for women navigating hormone imbalance, fatigue, anxiety, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, or simply a desire to feel more balanced and whole. It blends modern understanding with ancient wisdom in a way that is approachable, nurturing, and deeply human.

More than anything, Yoga for Your Hormones is meant to feel like a companion—something you can return to for support, understanding, and encouragement as you reconnect with your body’s wisdom and your own capacity to heal.
